VoomVoom Ltd was formed in 2006 by Vee Ganjavian and Charlie Williams Hawkes, and is a high profile company dedicated to providing a sales and maintenance platform for hi performance boating in the UK. VoomVoom acts as the UK agent for Hustler Powerboats USA, European agent for Aquarius Inflatables and are an authorised installer and supplier of Tohatsu engines. The company can offer clients a complete on stop shop for high performance boat management. Based in Chandlers Ford in Hampshire, VoomVoom has extensive workshop facilities, and partners with local companies for paintshop, and marine lifting and launching facilities. V Ganjavian, 44 started his career working in finance industry dealing in future options. Since then he has completed a degree in Aeronautical Physics and taken three companies public, the most recent project Microlink PC which was started in November 1992 he has now sold his controlling interest. This will enable him to spend more time with his passion; power boating. He has always owned powerboats from a young age and in 2005/6 raced in the World Championship Powerboat P1 series and broke the P750 World Speed Record at Lake Coniston. He currently (2006) holds 2nd place in BIBOA World Cup in RIB racing. Vee will head the company as Managing Director bringing the professional business approach and enthusiasm he is accustomed to.
Charlie Williams-Hawkes, 29 has worked in most aspects of the marine industry. From the age of 17 he worked in classic boat building, then moved to general boat repair, high performance rigging, technical and sales management. His passion for speed compelled him in 2000 to compete in the British National F1 Rib series, winning several National Championships and speed records. In 2006 he was the Co-Driver of 'Microlink' for Vee (owner/driver) in the World Championship P1 series. Their aim and passion for 2007 is to campaign and win the 2007 P1 title. Having his knowledge and understanding of the industry, gives 'VoomVoom' the ability to offer clients a 'unique custom designed service'. Charlie will head Sales and the day to day running of the company.
Jon Ridd, Technical and Engineering Manager, is responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of all aspects of engineering including maintenance of the Race boat. Jon is a fully qualified marine diesel and hydraulic engineer, working for many years on high performance vessels, with responsibilities such as 'Crew Chief' and technical advisor for the boat that holds the 6,12,18 and 24hr endurance World records using Yanmar power plants.
Fiona Pascoe, will bring her long term marketing knowledge to the team. She was the Marketeer for several UIM Class 1,2 and 3 teams and created brand names for companies such as 'Vulture Ventures' and 'Pascoe' R.I.B's. Presently she is transforming the world of Thundercat racing.
